Google announced a new wave of Connected Apps for Gemini on September 23, 2026. Productivity services include Airtable, Linear, monday.com and PandaDoc; creative integrations include Adobe, Picsart, Squarespace and Webflow. Google describes a rollout that lets users link services through settings or bring them into a conversation.
This October 3 article examines that earlier announcement rather than presenting it as a new launch today. For a Canadian user, the meaningful question is which integration is enabled for the account and what it is authorized to do. A list of partner names does not establish identical capabilities across every service.
Connect for a job, not for convenience alone
Start by identifying a task that currently requires moving information between applications. A project summary based on a selected workspace is easier to evaluate than an open-ended request to manage everything. Check the requested permissions and current help documentation before granting access, including whether the connection can read, write or take other actions.
A good trial uses a small set of records you can inspect. Ask the assistant to point to the relevant project, document or database row, and compare its summary with that source. If it prepares an update, review the target and content before accepting it. Similar names in two workspaces can produce a plausible answer about the wrong project.

Permissions belong to the whole workflow
Connecting an application can expose information about colleagues and customers, not just the person who clicks the approval screen. Use an authorized test workspace and inspect what is visible through the integration. A record hidden in the ordinary application should not unexpectedly appear in an AI-generated response.
Also decide how to handle external content embedded in the connected records. A document or ticket can contain instructions written by someone outside your organization. Those words should be evidence for the requested task, not authority to broaden access, change a workflow or send information elsewhere.
Canadian availability should be verified directly
Google’s rollout includes lifestyle services whose usefulness and coverage can depend on geography. Do not assume that a listed partner offers the same service in Canada or supports your organization’s subscription. Inspect the connection in the account you intend to use and confirm any commercial terms separately.
The strongest reason to adopt an integration is a demonstrated improvement to a repeatable job. Keep a simple record of errors, time saved and human corrections. Our analysis is that fewer tabs can be helpful, but only if the assistant retrieves the right information and leaves a clear, reviewable path from request to result.
